It doesn’t matter who is interviewed first, but APCO prefers to meet with the custodial party first in order to obtain all required information about the child. It is the responsibility of both the custodial and non-custodial party to contact our program to book his or her intake interview.  For our part, APCO books interviews on a first come, first serve basis. If either party fails to complete his or her intake interview within three months, we will close their file.

As the custodial party, you are required to bring the following to your intake interview:

  • Your full address with two pieces of i.d. confirming your address

  • Names and telephone numbers of two of your friends or relatives so we can contact them in case of an emergency

  • Custodial parties picture

  • Your child’s picture

  • The name and telephone number of your child’s physician or pediatrician

  • Your child’s Health Card number

  • If child has allergies or special needs a doctors letter confirming child's medical condition

  • Any assessment or affidavit

  • CAS letter if file is closed or opened on a voluntary basis

  • Lawyers Information and full address

  • A $25 application processing fee (please keep in mind we don’t accept cheque, credit card or money order and the exact amount is preferred)

  • A copy of your court order

As a non-custodial party, you are required to bring the following to your intake interview:

We have six locations across Toronto (East York, North York, two locations in Scarborough, Etobicoke, and a downtown location). All our six locations are city Daycare centres that are child focused and licensed to be used by children.

No. You will be provided with a schedule for your visits. Once you are given your schedule, it is your responsibility to attend your visits regularly.

Yes, as long as there is a court order and both parties agree to the use of our program.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled intake interview, you must notify the office in advance so we can re-schedule your interview.

If vacancies are available, it will take two to three weeks for our program to complete the file and to schedule the first visit. However, due to the high demand for our services, it may take longer. We are not able to guarantee a specific time period.
